No worship, no rain

Zecharaiah 14:17 “And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.”

Psalm 22:3 God inhabits the praises of His people.

Psalm 67:3-7 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, And govern the nations on earth. Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

God made it very clear that the families who did not come up to worship Him, over them it would fall no rain. This prophetic scripture is not only about physical rain. The same Bible talks about spiritual rain. In the book of Joel God prophesies that He will send the former rain and latter rain as a compensation for all the enemy had stolen. This rain is further explained to be the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. So if we want this Holy Ghost rain and blessing to fall upon our family, and us, we must worship Him. Don’t let anything steal your worship. It is our worship that causes the rain to fall. And it’s the lack of it that withholds the rain.

There is another scripture that goes together with this: Job 36:29 “Also can any understand the spreading of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?” The noise of His Tabernacle being the sound of instruments and praise is causing clouds to gather in the sky. The Tabernacle and the Temple today are our bodies. We are the Tabernacle that is supposed to make noise and worship the Lord. Whenever we do, we send up vapors towards the sky that will gather together and form clouds. When the clouds are heavy enough, it will drop the rain upon us.

Let us worship until God pour down His rain and sends us revival. Pastor Gøran Andreassen
