In order to understand this concept better, replace fruit with the word "deeds". Consider them as deeds of the Spirit. This deeds can only be "seen" when you are full of the Holy Spirit. For it is the Holy Spirit which compels us to do good. Therefore, remain faithful to the Lord and be obedient to His Word, so that the Holy Spirit will remain in you.
