1 Samuel 10:21-22 When he had caused the tribe of
Benjamin to come near by their families, the family of Matri was chosen.
And Saul the son of Kish was chosen. But when they sought him, he could
not be found. Therefore they inquired of the LORD further, "Has the
man come here yet?" And the LORD answered, "There he is, hidden
among the equipment."
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think
toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give
you a future and a hope.
In
your life you may feel as if the Lord is literally a "lamp"
unto your feet. You may rarely know His plans for your life much further
than your very next step. However, if God ever desires you to go a different
direction than you presumed He had planned for your path, I pray you're
not so hidden among the stuff of this life that you are of no use to Him.
The Book of Psalms says, "We spend our years as a tale that is told
..." (Psalm 90:9)
I hope and pray that neither you nor I will ever become so hidden among
the stuff of this world (work, career, relationships, hobbies, etc.) that
God cannot find and use us in the state we are in. When our stories have
been written and those last pages turned, I pray we can all present the
tales we have written before God without reservation and with anticipation!
