The Real Meaning of the
Law |
Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment
of the law. Romans 13:10
"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those
days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their
minds I will write them." Hebrew 10:16
On the Mount, Moses received the Ten Commandments and God wrote them Himself
on stony tablets (Genesis 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:4-21) It is important
for you to know that the first four commandants refer to the fact that
we should love God. The next six commandments give us guidelines of how
we should live our lives with one another.
Therefore, Jesus summarized the Ten Commandments in the following way;
"Love God with all your heart, with all your strength, and with
all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." (see Matthew
22:37-40)
Take a look today and see how you can love God, your friends (neighbors)
and yourself.
