Psalm 27:4 One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to
behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple.
Psalm 84:1-4 and 10 How lovely is Your tabernacle, O LORD of hosts!
My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart
and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found
          a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young;
Even Your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those
who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You. Selah For
a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a
doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

What
do you desire from the Lord? Do you have a list a mile long of dreams,
hopes, and blessings you would like for Him to fulfill? Do you desire
revival in your church or even to win a hundred souls? Do you dream
of being an anointed minister or successful businessperson? Did you
know that in Psalm 27:4 David stated that he only desired one thing
from the Lord. Can you believe it? All David wanted from the Lord was
to be in His presence and behold His beauty. That's all! David could
have asked anything of the Lord! He was a man after God's own heart.
He had great favor with God. But all he asked was simply to be close
to Him. Nothing else mattered in comparison. Not his ministry, his anointing,
his reputation, nothing at all. How do your desires line up with David's?
Are you so much in love with the King that all you care about is being
with Him? Mary had the right idea too. She knew the most wonderful place
she could ever be was at the feet of Jesus. Additional Scriptures: Luke
