1. Thessalonians 5:16-24 1Th 5:16 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

A new year is beginning and it is good to set spiritual goals and to make the most of precious time. Here are a few suggestions so that we can all be successful:

• Make sure that everything is in order with God and your neighbor
• Get closer to Jesus and become more and more like Him
• Use your precious time with wisdom and for godly goals
• Work in the kingdom of God and have a burden for the lost
• Prayer, reading the Bible, and faithfulness to the house of God are essential for maintaining your spiritual life
• Be aware that the return of Jesus Christ could be very close
• Do not be content with just the usual way of things
• Carry on and do not give up...
