To walk in Jesus
Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the
Lord, so walk ye in him.
1 John 3:24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and
God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit
whom he has given us.
Paul
is telling the Colossian church that it is not enough only to receive
Christ as Lord. We must also walk in Him. That is to be led by Him,
allowing Him to be our Shepherd. Letting Him be our Lord and Master.
Jesus says that we cannot serve two masters. It is now the Spirit
that is in control.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they
are the sons of God.
Are you walking in Him? Are you being led by Him? Can you say as
Paul; “I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life
which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of
God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
I have given my life to Jesus. That means I have given over the
control to Him. Rev Gøran Andreassen
