In the name of Jesus Christ
Every
man glorifying the Lord is near to God -- he is near to God either
by mouth or by heart. If it was by mouth, then the distance between
him and God is far, but if it is by heart, he is near to God, "For
where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
(Matthew 6:21). When your heart is worshipping God, then you seek
what God is for. However, if your heart is with the world and only
your lips are with God, you should remember that our God is a jealous
God and He will be distant from you, as He was in the Old Testament
when the people of Israel were near to God with their lips, but far
away from God with their hearts. "Wherefore the Lord said,
Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their
lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me."
(Isaiah 29;13)
Draw near to God with your heart and your mouth to receive contentment,
for He is your Shepherd and your Creator. In James 4:8 God's Word
tells us: "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
God be with you. es
