The only answer we need

Judges 6:12-16 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.A nd the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house. And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

When the Angel of the Lord told Gideon, The Lord is with you you migty man of valour, he had a lot of questions.

If God is for me:
WHY has all these things happened to me?
WHERE is all the miracles I heard from our fathers?
HOW am I going to save Israel?

God never answers his questions. He never tells Gideon WHY. He never explains WHERE. He don’t instruct HOW. But he keeps on telling him: I am with you. I will be with you. That is the only answer we need.

You may have a lot of questions yourself. Why am I going through this if I am a child of God? Where are all the miracles I hear everyone else tell about. How am I going to make it? You may never get an answer, but one thing you can rest assure. God will be with you. He will NEVER leave you. And you are guaranteed success and victory.

If you know God is with you, then you don’t have to worry about how. He will take care of that. If God is with you don’t worry about why. In the end you will understand. There is a reason for everything. If God is with you, sooner or later you will have your own miracle story to tell. Just like Gideon. Gøran Andreassen
