In Jesus Name,
Nowadays
as also in the past we see the rich rely on his richness and the educated
on his education and the mighty on his power. In the middle of this
restless world some of us might forget what's written in the Bible.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean
not unto thine own understanding.
He relies on his own life experience to deal with those problems he
is facing, not upon prayer, asking God and consulting Him, how to
face these problems, but the Word of God says in Psalm 55:22: Cast
thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never
suffer the righteous to be moved.
When the Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross, the chief priests mocked
Him, saying: He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he
will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. Matthew 27:43.
The chief priests thought and also many in our days expect that God's
response must be spontaneous and instantly, otherwise God is not pleased
with a person. Some might confess that God is not worthy of our reliance
and trust, because He does not always respond immediately.
God is the creator and we are His creation and the time belongs to
God alone; He determines when, where and how his response will come
through or the outcome will be accomplished. Psalm 7: 9 tells us:
For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds. He knows
everything. Once Peter said in Matthew 6:68: Lord, to whom shall
we go? You have the words of eternal life.
Our reliance is upon you Lord Jesus, we have no one else.
God be with you. es
