Proverbs 3:3-6 Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And
so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. Trust in the
LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all
your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
We
live in a world which sets as its main priority, the accumulation of material
things. It requires that we have the best clothes and the fastest cars.
This trend to be popular can put us under pressure, because we feel the
expectations of others towards us of how we are going to react. School,
work, our social life and the family pull us into its whirlpool. At the
end of the day as we sink into bed and pull the blankets over us, the
question remains: "What does God want for my life?"
In the midst of the total chaos and this confusion we can, nevertheless,
find peace. With a heart full of prayer, we must learn to trust God with
our present situation, and above all, with our future. We must understand
that when our faith is anchored in Jesus, that we will never go the wrong
way. He will lead us the right way.
