Are you qualified?
Romans 3:9-10 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all.
For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are
all under sin. As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not
one;”
1 Corinthians 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of
the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak
things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.
Abraham
lied, and ended up sharing his wife with another man, Sarah laughed
at Gods promise, Moses killed a man, and had difficulties to speak.
Moses sister Miriam was a slanderer; Noah got drunk and made a fool
out of himself. Jonah fled from Gods calling, Gideon had no self
confidence, David cheated and murdered to hide his sin. Elijah was
depressed, Peter had a bad temper, Paul was a murderer, Martha was
worried, Thomas doubted, Zacchaeus was a thief, and Lazarus was
DEAD. The list could go on forever. The truth is that all men and
women God used in the Bible had flaws and challenges. None of them
would have been anyone we would have picked for the task. The 12
men Jesus chose to carry the Gospel to the world were young unlearned
teenagers. The Bible tells us that God chose that was nothing in
this world.
You may have heard it before, but the truth is still as powerful:
God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called. Rev
