Isaiah 55,1-2 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come
to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come,
buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money
for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen
carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself
in abundance.
One
morning I asked God in prayer what the desire of His heart is. Immediately
He replied, "I have a desire for fellowship!" The cross was
a visible sign how fervent God's desire was to restore fellowship with
mankind.
Jesus expects from us that our relationship to Him is real. Be yourself!
Pour out your heart before Him, there are no limits to His understanding.
Spend a quiet time with God in order to hear His voice; and write down
the things which have an impact on you in a diary. Do not hide from God
when you make a mistake. He gives forgiveness in abundance. (Isaiah 58:7)
Time spent with God will make you strong. The lies of the enemy will not
influence and move you and the storms of life will not shake you.
Isaiah 55 asks us why we waste so much energy on things which are unable
to bring satisfaction. We are invited to come to Him and receive "the
good". (Isaiah 55:2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and
eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance.)
Your presence is requested in a relationship which is deeply desired.
