Allow other people to kindle their fire on yours

Fire is so oppositional. People either like fire or they are afraid of it. It can destroy, cause death, but it can also preserve life.

A burning fire in a fireplace normally creates a romantic atmosphere, whereas a house on fire will most likely cause fear, terror or traumata.

Although fire is so dangerous, we cannot imagine a life - the way we know it today - without the discovery of fire. As well as we need fire here on earth, we as Christians need the fire of the Holy Ghost.

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” Mathew 11, 3

“And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat on each of them.” Acts 2, 3

It was the fire of the Holy Ghost that gave Peter the courage to proclaim the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the people. It was the fire of God which spread in Jerusalem and gave eternal life to 3000 people.

It was 120 people who made their fire available so that 3000 others could kindle their fire.
