Bible references and Old Testament allegories have always been the
only source for the spiritual victories of the church versus the world.
One example is the Children of Israel being liberated from Egypt and
the hands of Pharaoh, and we as the church being liberated from the
world and the hands of Satan, we must now focus on those who are still
in chains. We live in cities that have yet to be won to the call of
Christ!
Our
primary goal now is built upon the sound of footsteps which bewildered
and confused the great walled City of Jericho. In the destruction
of Jericho there where important instructions that had to be followed
to secure a solid victory: first the call of God then the instructions
that followed. We must hear and know the will of God for the conquering
of each city. Spiritual sensitivity is extremely important for the
Apostle that is claiming a certain city, read: Acts 16:6-7, at this
time of the early years of the apostolic movement the Holy Ghost forbid
the evangelism of Asia and Bithynia. Spiritual sensitivity is vital
for victory. It is not the will of God for us to live in spiritual
frustration and bear no fruit or become discouraged to the point of
self destruction.
We read later in 1 Peter 1:1-2 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia,
Asia and Bithynia, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the
Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling
of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
These areas where successfully evangelized, timing is just as important
as zeal and passion we need all three.
Wisdom
and Godly sensitivity has got to be exercised in our prayers which
are the very footsteps that march daily around our cities along with
our attitude of worship being the priests that bear the horn of victory.
The city reacts to the spiritual confusion that our footsteps have
create and the souls of hungry men and women begin to engage themselves
in an urgent need for a God they never knew and then comes the shout,
the great proclamation and revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ!
The spiritual walls of the city become unglued, many are spiritually
slain and born again of the water and the Spirit of our great God.
At the sound of footsteps, devils will tremble and the city shall
be redeemed, sanctified and purified by the blood of Christ and the
Spirit of love and Liberty will flourish throughout each City!
Our obligation to the Call of Christ must be renewed daily, the church
must intensify their footsteps for the walls of these cities have
been strengthened from the weight of sin. The world's days have shortened,
our days are eternal; every city must be won!!! lg
