The challenge of living
a godly life |
Titus
2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we
should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things
in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not
in him.
Our culture screams lust, pain, greed, vanity, envy, pride. The more
we give, the more it takes. It pulls us in every direction and gives
us nothing in return. We are accustomed to this visual culture.
Often we never give a thought to the messages pounding away at our senses,
challenging our identity, taking over our desires and even our integrity
at times. Since we view tons of advertisements daily, it is easy to
lose sight of who we were created to be.
Have you thought about it lately? Who were you created to be? Have you
strayed? It is God's desire that in the midst of this foggy road your
eyes would be opened, your focus clear, the light of His truth would
guide your way, you would refocus on Him and become blinded to this
world. Seek His face and reflect His image. Begin to search for Him
with your whole heart, and you will find Him. He will make His desires
clear to you. rr
