For the glory for the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together! Isaiah 40:5 It could have been easy for Joseph to question how Gods glory was going to be revealed in the pain of his current circumstance. He was hated by his brothers, separated from his Father, sold into slavery, and if things couldn't get any worse, false accusation were brought against Josephs character. Not able to defend himself he was thrown into a dark and cold prison and forgotten. (Genesis 39) As we face great tribulation in this hour, we must stand still and trust God! No matter what we see with our natural eyes, no matter how difficult things get and no matter how painful the personal attacks are; hold on and remember, the glory of the Lord shall be revealed! You must strengthen yourself in the Lord. Although we may go through a dry and barren land we can walk by faith, knowing that the Lord will be there to make a way of escape for us out of every trial and tribulation. (1 Corinthians 10:13) We like Joseph, can trust that His great glory will be revealed for all to see and in the end, the trial we were privileged to go through, will become our greatest testimony! (1 Peter 1:7) Sometimes you just have to rejoice in the trial! Sometimes you just need to celebrate your victory, claiming the outcome before you can see it. (Romans 5:3-5, Philippians 4:4) If sickness fills my body - His glory shall be revealed! (Isaiah 53:5) When the enemy surrounds me on every side - His glory shall be revealed! (Psalm 121) Our local church is struggling - His glory shall be revealed! (Matthew 16:18; 18:20) When you lose your job - His glory shall be revealed! (Philippians. 4:19) When you are facing tribulation - His glory shall be revealed! (1 Corinthians 10:13) He makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters. He always makes a way of escape for His people. In the book of Genesis we read how God made a way of escape for Joseph. Through his steadfast trust in God, there was a complete restoration of what seemed to be lost forever. Through it all, Gods glory was revealed! There not only was a great reunion between a Father and Son but because of Josephs' high position in Egypt, he was able to bring salvation to nations. No matter what you are facing today, trust and know that through every trial, His glory shall be revealed. If God saved Joseph, He will save you! Let Josephs trials and victories give you great confidence and faith! That the battles we are fighting are not our own and this trial we face is not in vain! No matter what we face, God is in control and in the end His glory shall be revealed for all flesh to see. sr |
