Message from the Monthly Flyer January 2019

All the best for the new year!

The Bible states in Ecclesiastes 7: 8 that the end of a thing is better than its beginning. At the end of any process, it's time to draw lessons and develop new strategies for the future, with the goal of achieving better results. We are about to say goodbye to 2018 to welcome the year 2019. Every time we are at the dawn of a new year, it is also a new wave of hopes, wishes, and decisions that raises in our hearts and thoughts. As we say goodbye to 2018, we are also saying goodbye to our sorrows, our negative experiences and the disappointments we have experienced, and we wish ourselves only the best for the new year. Every time a new year starts or looms, we make all kinds of promises and take personal decisions to do things better in the new year. New year, new hope. New year, new vision. New year, new projects, new commitments, renewed determination to do things better in order to live and achieve the very best.

But every time a new year begins, none of us can really say what it holds. The God of all creation alone who is omnipotent and omniscient and who holds our destiny in His hands knows what this new year has in store for us. The Bible states that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). With regard to our plans, projects, wishes and desires for the year 2019, let's not rely solely on our own resources, abilities and capabilities. Of course, it is important to make plans and projects, because wthout vision we walk blindly and we are at the mercy of events. But in all things, let us submit our plans to God who will lead them to a good end (Proverbs 3: 5). It is not in vain that Jesus Christ is called Master, Lord and Counsellor. In Him are all the hidden treasures of knowledge and success. Whenever we can enter a new year, it is the testimony of divine grace that is renewed in our lives so that we can realize and reach the potential for which God has created us. Jesus Christ has a plan for each one of us and His will is that the Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ be preached throughout the world. In all that we will do in 2019, the essential thing is to stay in His will, which is to make His love known wherever we are and spread the message of the cross. So, in all our plans and projects for 2019, let us remember that heaven and earth will pass with all their beauty, all their splendour, all their vanity and all their charm. Only the Word of God, which is the source of true life, power and salvation, remains forever.

May the year 2019 be for us the opportunity to excel more in the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5: 22-23). May the year 2019 be for us the opportunity to walk even better by faith and not by sight, so that we will be true worshipers in spirit and in truth, for such are the worshipers whom God is seeking (John 4:23-24). May Jesus Christ be more than ever the center of our lives and may His glory manifest itself more powerfully in all that we do.
